Quick start

From install to your first Nova Post waybill in about 15 minutes.

Setting up Poshta takes about 15 minutes and has four steps. No sales call and no contract.

1. Install the app

Open Poshta on the Shopify App Store and click Install. Shopify will ask for permission to read orders and create fulfillments — both are needed so the app can create waybills and keep delivery statuses current.

2. Pick a plan

The first thing the app asks for after installation is a plan. Any of them will do, including the free one: without a selected plan Shopify never activates the subscription, and the app stays idle.

You can switch plans at any time, so don’t linger here — take Free and move on. What counts toward the limit.

3. Add your API key and turn on live status updates

The key comes from your own Nova Post account — see Where to get your API key.

Paste it into Settings → Nova Post API key and save. The app validates it immediately and shows which counterparty it belongs to.

While you’re there, turn on real-time status updates — that is what keeps every order’s delivery state current without you. Left off, waybills still get created, but statuses have to be reconciled by hand.

4. Turn off order archiving

This is the one step that happens outside the app, and the most common reason it looks like “nothing is working”. While archiving is on, Shopify hides paid orders and the app never sees them.

Step by step: Disabling automatic archiving.

Done

Open any order and you’ll see the Poshta block with a button to create a waybill. Once created, the tracking number is written back to the order and its delivery status starts updating on its own.
